Octocrylene is a photostable ingredient and loses about 10% of SPF in 95 minutes.
Dicaprylyl Carbonate comes from carbonic acid and caprylyl alcohol, a fatty alcohol. It is an emollient and gives skin a velvet feel. The sources of Dicaprylyl Carbonate may be synthetic or from animals.
Cyclopentasiloxane is a silicone used to improve texture and trap moisture. An easier name for this is D5.

Neither scent nor texture are offputting in any way, and it is fairly easy to apply. I applied it as the last step of my routine over moisturizer.
Unfortunately, it seems to irritare and dry out the skin, clog up the pores and break me out - by the end of the day there will be tiny whiteheads. Having it under makeup created the most drylooking cakey situation I have experienced in my life.
Of course, YMMW, but for me and my skin this seems to hit the bingo of all the things I would like a product to not do. It is relegated to the role of body sunscreen from here on out.
