Liquiritin is one of the flavone compounds found in licorice. It has been found to help lighten skin by preventing tyrosinase from reacting with tyrosine. When the two react, protein is converted to melanin. Melanin is the substance in your body that gives your features pigmentation.

I think this product was overhyped for me. I like how light it is and how it feels on my skin. It is definitely hydrating - but I haven't noticed any improvements (dark spots, redness) beyond that.
i wanted to love this so much as the ingredients are great and i thought it would be great for me. it feels really nice on my skin at first and absorbs super well but broke me out a lot over a few days. i got clusters of little red spots and my skin just overall looked worse. turns out in may be centella which is frustrating because it’s meant to be an amazing ingredient :( 3 other products with Show more

This product is good. It has a lovely milky texture and spreads nicely. I took one star off because it has citric acid, which irritates my skin. It often left my skin red and sensitive. However, I think if you're not sensitive to any of the ingredients, this is a lovely serum.
Love this! I have combo to dry, sensitive skin and it calms my redness. A bit sticky on face but hydrates very well :)
