Ingredients Explained

These ingredients are found in both products.

Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.

Humectant, Skin Conditioning, Skin Protecting
Loved

Glycerin is already naturally found in your skin. It helps moisturize and protect your skin.

A study from 2016 found glycerin to be more effective as a humectant than AHAs and hyaluronic acid.

As a humectant, it helps the skin stay hydrated by pulling moisture to your skin. The low molecular weight of glycerin allows it to pull moisture into the deeper layers of your skin.

Hydrated skin improves your skin barrier; Your skin barrier helps protect against irritants and bacteria.

Glycerin has also been found to have antimicrobial and antiviral properties. Due to these properties, glycerin is often used in wound and burn treatments.

In cosmetics, glycerin is usually derived from plants such as soybean or palm. However, it can also be sourced from animals, such as tallow or animal fat.

This ingredient is organic, colorless, odorless, and non-toxic.

Glycerin is the name for this ingredient in American English. British English uses Glycerol/Glycerine.

Updated 13.06: It has since managed to cause irritation and some whiteheads, potentially due to overuse. Currently removed from routine and will be reintroduced at a later point at a lesser frequency.

I recently acquired this product in a small size for trying out, and having used it for a couple of days now, I think I am sold and not going back.

I use it in the evenings as a second step after micellar water. It foams up to a really nice thick situation consisting of tiny bubbles and has a light herbal scent that I really enjoy. After washing the face thoroughly for about a minute, it leaves the skin clean without noticeably drying it out.

So far I have not noticed any irritation or other unwanted side effect. The pores seem to be less noticeable, skin has gotten much softer and it does seem to reduce redness. So far I am definitely inclined to repurchase the product.

I use this as a situational exfoliation cleanser and I really enjoy the buttery feel of this as I apply it and the smell is okay too. Since I use this as needed, it's hard to judge if it actually gives me results though. Might also be biased because this was my first actually decent cleanser.

Broke me out horribly
This product gave me big red patches on my face that i’ve never had before. I have very sensitive skin and nothing has irritated me like this. Upon seeing ingredients I think it might have been an allergy to the sage essential oil ingredient. It’s great as a body wash though! It cleared the acne on my back :v
