This is listed by Elemis as a moisturizer so that is how I've been using it. I figured it would be great in the hot summer when you want something lighter. It seems fine, I will definitely be using something creamier in the fall. I wouldn't like it as a serum or other treatment as it seems a bit sticky/thick for that. It does have a very aloe gel consistency.
