Ingredients Explained

These ingredients are found in both products.

Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.

Skin Conditioning

Ethylhexylglycerin (we can't pronounce this either) is commonly used as a preservative and skin softener. It is derived from glyceryl.

You might see Ethylhexylglycerin often paired with other preservatives such as phenoxyethanol. Ethylhexylglycerin has been found to increase the effectiveness of these other preservatives.

Skin Conditioning, Solvent

Water. It's the most common cosmetic ingredient of all. You'll usually see it at the top of ingredient lists, meaning that it makes up the largest part of the product.

So why is it so popular? Water most often acts as a solvent - this means that it helps dissolve other ingredients into the formulation.

You'll also recognize water as that liquid we all need to stay alive. If you see this, drink a glass of water. Stay hydrated!

(Used from 2022-2024) This is truly the only sunscreen that ticked off all the boxes for me. Affordable for the amount of product, High SPF value, UVB and UVA protection, doubles as a dewy, moisturizer (so no need to apply a separate sunscreen and moisturizer) and best of all NO White Cast!!! (I legit searched for months to find a moisturizing sunscreen that didn't make me look ashy). There is a Show more

No whitecast, no scent, lightweight, no sticky feeling. And very affordable! However, it seems to be as far from matte as possible, which I'm not a fan of.

This mineral sunscreen leaves a soft finish. It isn't as moisturizing as Round Lab's regular/chemical Birch Juice Moisturizing Sun Cream, takes longer to settle in and leaves a slight white cast, as it often is with mineral sunscreens. It also doesn't wash off as easily as the other version, and reapplication isn't as smooth.

Leaves quite a heavy white cast. But didn’t break me out or irritate my skin
