Butyrospermum Parkii Butter is a plant lipid from the fruit of the Shea Tree. It is an effective skin hydrator and emollient.
Emollients help soothe and soften your skin. It does this by creating a protective film on your skin. This barrier helps trap moisture and keeps your skin hydrated. Emollients may be effective at treating dry or itchy skin.
Shea butter is rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants help fight free-radicals, or molecules that may harm the body. It is also full of fatty acids including stearic acid and linoleic acid. These acids help replenish the skin and keep skin moisturized.
While Shea Butter has an SPF rating of about 3-4, it is not a sunscreen replacement.

I stumbled across this product by accident but it has solidified my belief in lip masks. This is my favorite by far. It has staying power and allows me to go to bed and wake up with soft lips. I literally look forward to using this mask at the end of my night time routine.
I swear by this lip mask. I suffered from extremely dry lips for months including most of the summer. Alongside prescribed cream and aquaphor this has brought my lips back. I use it in the morning and night almost like a moisturizer for my lips. I was looking at Laniege however I feel like it’s mainly just marketed better.
Needly Sleeping Lip Mask 37 ingredients
It's a lovely thin oil-gel lip balm that's very soothing to severely dry & rough lips. Very reminiscent of the famous Biossance lip balm, although the Biossance is a thicker product.
However it's not occlusive enough to be a lip mask, or to last overnight. So that's a fail, sadly.
It quickly soaks into the lips & disappears. I have to put a beeswax product over it to get even an hour of Show more
