Water. It's the most common cosmetic ingredient of all. You'll usually see it at the top of ingredient lists, meaning that it makes up the largest part of the product.

So why is it so popular? Water most often acts as a solvent - this means that it helps dissolve other ingredients into the formulation.

You'll also recognize water as that liquid we all need to stay alive. Talk about multi-purpose! If you see this, drink a glass of water. Stay hydrated!

Glycerin is already naturally found in your skin. It helps moisturize and protect your skin.

A study from 2016 found glycerin to be more effective as a humectant than AHAs and hyaluronic acid.

As a humectant, it helps the skin stay hydrated by pulling moisture to your skin. The low molecular weight of glycerin allows it to pull moisture into the deeper layers of your skin.

Hydrated skin improves your skin barrier; Your skin barrier helps protect against irritants and bacteria.

Glycerin has also been found to have antimicrobial and antiviral properties. Due to these properties, glycerin is often used in wound and burn treatments.

In cosmetics, glycerin is usually derived from plants such as soybean or palm. However, it can also be sourced from animals, such as tallow or animal fat.

This ingredient is organic, colorless, odorless, and non-toxic.

Glycerin is the name for this ingredient in American English. British English uses Glycerol/Glycerine.

1,2-Hexanediol is a multi-tasker ingredient. It acts as a preservative to increase shelf-life and can aid other preservatives in preventing microbe growth. 1,2-Hexanediol also helps the skin retain moisture as a humectant.

In products that are water-based, this ingredient can help stabilize perfumes and fragrances. It can also help make the texture of products softer and more smooth.

Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer is a type of hyaluronic acid. In fact, it is modified version of hyaluronic acid.

The structure of Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer allows it to stay in the skin's top layer for a longer period of time. This allows for even more hydration and humectant action than hyaluronic acid.

this is the best essence i've tried this year and this is maybe becoming my favorite essence too. it has a viscous texture, similar to the hyaluronic acid hydra power essence by cosrx. so it's not as thick as the snail mucins we know from cosrx and jumiso as an example. i love the added peptides, hyaluronic acids and collagen in here and people with dry, dull, mature and aging skin might like it or even love it. it is safe to use once or twice a day (am&pm). it hydrates the skin, giving u plump and glowy skin without leaving a tacky finish once it has fully been absorbed into the skin. my skin has also not shown any bad effects of using the essence such as irritation, itchyness or dryness but i cannot talk for everyone, but it should be safe for sensitive skin. i recommend using 2-3 pumps of the essence on damp skin to get the benefits of the added ingredients. the price is totally okay (i got mine for 21€) but compared to other essences that have much more product, it is more pricey. the essence is really worth the try if u love the aqua oasis toner, the serum or cream from s.nature like i do. dry, mature, dull, aging and combination skin would benefit the most from the essence!! 4.7 outta 5 stars.

Amazing Product -

It absorbs nicely on skin, and leaves my skin hydrated while plump. This product doesn't leave a sticky residue which I've seen on some hyaluronic serums.

Also not a glass packaging which is great for clumsy people like me haha.

10/10!!

(remember - apply hyaluronic acid serum onto damp skin!) <3

Disclaimer: I have combo skin that tends to be dry in my cheeks and oily everywhere else. I also have eczema on my cheeks.
It absorbs nicely and quickly into my skin and doesn't leave a sticky layer. It definitely provides hydration. If I put this on and stop my skincare routine to do something else my skin still feels plump. It works well on my whole face. I would repurchase this product.
