Ethylhexyl Triazone is a modern chemical sunscreen that protects from UV-B radiation.
It is the most effective of existing UV-B filters, as it provides the highest level of photo-stable absorption. It protects from the entire UV-B range (280 to 320nm), with it's highest level of protection at 314nm.
Ethylhexyl Triazone is oil soluble, oderless and colorless, which mean it is able to be incorporated into a variety of different formulations.
It is not currently available within the United States due to slow changing FDA regulations. Outside of the US, it is used in formulations at concentrations up to 5%.

DHHB is well-liked for:
DHHB has been approved by the EU, Japan, Taiwan, and South America for use up to 10%. Unfortunately, it has not been approved for use in the US or Canada due to slow regulatory processes.
This ingredient is soluble in oils, fats, and lipids.

So why is it so popular? Water most often acts as a solvent - this means that it helps dissolve other ingredients into the formulation.
You'll also recognize water as that liquid we all need to stay alive. If you see this, drink a glass of water. Stay hydrated!

Generally speaking I despise spfs. I hate having to put it on because it always makes me feel greasy, this spf still makes me feel that way sometimes but a lot less often and has not damaged my skin unless I leave it on without washing my face for 2 days, so it’s my favourite. Basically I’d say this spf is like being the tallest dwarf, it’s only triumph is the fact that it doesn’t break me out, Show more
I’m really disappointed by this because it has by far the best texture and finish of any sunscreen I’ve tried, even better than my holy grail, the green version of this. It dries down almost immediately and despite popular opinion I don’t think it actually looks very shiny. It has a more natural finish than most, which I loved.
BUT… it broke me out so quickly! Within a couple of days I had a Show more
