Ingredients Explained
These ingredients are found in both products.
Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.
Glycerin is already naturally found in your skin. It helps moisturize and protect your skin.
A study from 2016 found glycerin to be more effective as a humectant than AHAs and hyaluronic acid.
As a humectant, it helps the skin stay hydrated by pulling moisture to your skin. The low molecular weight of glycerin allows it to pull moisture into the deeper layers of your skin.
Hydrated skin improves your skin barrier; Your skin barrier helps protect against irritants and bacteria.
Glycerin has also been found to have antimicrobial and antiviral properties. Due to these properties, glycerin is often used in wound and burn treatments.
In cosmetics, glycerin is usually derived from plants such as soybean or palm. However, it can also be sourced from animals, such as tallow or animal fat.
This ingredient is organic, colorless, odorless, and non-toxic.
Glycerin is the name for this ingredient in American English. British English uses Glycerol/Glycerine.

Like hyaluronic acid, it is great at holding water and acts as a humectant. This makes it a great skin hydrating ingredient.

I actually adore the way this product makes my skin feel but the packaging is comical. Its near impossible to pop the lid off so I just leave it halfway on. I thought I had finished up the product because no more product was coming through the pump but NO! I unscrewed the lid and there’s still 2/3 product left. I like this but not enough to repurchase because it’s so annoying to use. I’ll repurchase after they fix their packaging. Never thought packaging would deter me from a product but here we are!

It's alright. It doesn't hydrate as much as I thought it would even thought it specializes in hydrating the skin. The texture is watery, takes a longer time time to absorb imo. The product is also 20ml instead of an average 30ml serum volume for a higher price with below average effect. Definitely not worth it.
