Ingredients Explained

These ingredients are found in both products.

Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.

Masking, Skin Conditioning

This ingredient is an emollient, solvent, and texture enhancer. It is considered a skin-softener by helping the skin prevent moisture loss.

It helps thicken a product's formula and makes it easier to spread by dissolving clumping compounds.

Caprylic Triglyceride is made by combining glycerin with coconut oil, forming a clear liquid.

While there is an assumption Caprylic Triglyceride can clog pores due to it being derived from coconut oil, there is no research supporting this.

Skin Conditioning, Solvent

Water. It's the most common cosmetic ingredient of all. You'll usually see it at the top of ingredient lists, meaning that it makes up the largest part of the product.

So why is it so popular? Water most often acts as a solvent - this means that it helps dissolve other ingredients into the formulation.

You'll also recognize water as that liquid we all need to stay alive. If you see this, drink a glass of water. Stay hydrated!

Pros:
โ€ข Very lightweight, easy to wash off, and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry

Cons:
โ€ข Over the past couple of days, Iโ€™ve noticed a few closed comedones appear on my cheeks, and I feel like the cleansing oil might be causing this issue since itโ€™s the only new product Iโ€™ve introduced into my routine. I also follow up with a water-based cleanser to ensure that my skin is cleansed Show more

Nothing but positive things to say about this cleanser. One of my favorite aspects of this product is that it foams up so well! I was very impressed with how much it lathers w/very little product. So you'll definitely get your money's worth. I also love how it doesn't feel stripping on my face so it makes for a nice gentle yet effective cleanser for my oily skin. It also does a pretty solid job at Show more
