Ingredients Explained

These ingredients are found in both products.

Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.

Skin Conditioning, Solvent

Water. It's the most common cosmetic ingredient of all. You'll usually see it at the top of ingredient lists, meaning that it makes up the largest part of the product.

So why is it so popular? Water most often acts as a solvent - this means that it helps dissolve other ingredients into the formulation.

You'll also recognize water as that liquid we all need to stay alive. If you see this, drink a glass of water. Stay hydrated!

CeraVe has become one of the most misleading skin care brands out there. Naturally, most of the people interested in their products are going to be acne prone, and yet they tend to make their formulas high in acne causing ingredients... make it make sense.

this is one of the few products where i can just layer and it won’t irritate my eczema prone areas but i find if i layer it on dry skin in the winter, its so thick it won’t absorb into my skin sometimes
