There are two forms of panthenol: D and L.

D-panthenol is also known as dexpanthenol. Most cosmetics use dexpanthenol or a mixture of D and L-panthenol.

Panthenol is famous due to its ability to go deeper into the skin's layers. Using this ingredient has numerous pros (and no cons):

Like hyaluronic acid, panthenol is a humectant. Humectants are able to bind and hold large amounts of water to keep skin hydrated.

This ingredient works well for wound healing. It works by increasing tissue in the wound and helps close open wounds.

Once oxidized, panthenol converts to pantothenic acid. Panthothenic acid is found in all living cells.

I personally think that this is an underrated toner. It was a thick consistency but still liquidy. It goes on so nicely it’s honestly perfect for summer/spring time when you want hydration but something like a milky toner is to heavy. I was nervous about this at first because I didn't think it would do anything to help my skin. However, this is a really solid toner that helps soothe my skin a lot, and it feels nice going on. It does take some time to dry, but it's worth it.

Did not live up with the hype I've seen all over TikTok.
I wanted to love it as I heard great things about it for acne prone skin, but it literally did nothing to me even when i used it for four months (2 bottles).
Once I stopped using it, my skin became better.
