Ingredients Explained

These ingredients are found in both products.

Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.

Smoothing

Niacinamide has emerged as an all-star ingredient due to its many benefits.

It is known to treat acne by reducing inflammation. It also helps fade dark-spots and strengthen the skin by promoting the growth of the ceramide barrier.

Other benefits include smoothing wrinkles and minimizing redness.

The cherry on top? Niacinamide can also help build keratin, a protein that keeps skin firm.

When incorporating niacinamide into your routine, look out for concentration amounts. Typically, 5% niacinamide provides benefits such as fading dark spots. However, if you have sensitive skin, it is better to begin with a smaller concentration.

Niacinamide can be mixed with other ingredients to boost benefits. For instance, it has shown to be effective when used with copper, folic acid, and zinc to treat acne.

Skin Conditioning, Solvent

Water. It's the most common cosmetic ingredient of all. You'll usually see it at the top of ingredient lists, meaning that it makes up the largest part of the product.

So why is it so popular? Water most often acts as a solvent - this means that it helps dissolve other ingredients into the formulation.

You'll also recognize water as that liquid we all need to stay alive. If you see this, drink a glass of water. Stay hydrated!

Works miraculously on breakouts and healing acnes! Using it as a spot treatment at the very last step in my routine is a game changer! I have few new breakouts around my cheek area and using it as spot treatment reduced the inflammation by 50% overnight! It dried and healed my acnes for as fast as 3 days (using it AM & PM). This is unbelievable. I will definitely repurchase. This is now my Show more

Oily types, this is it probably… your HG!

Tests I did:
- applied small thin layer over my oily area, no oiliness for whole day! You literally saw where the application with my fingers started and ended, because it was so mattifying.

- as spot treatment, applied on small pimples, calmed down a lot.

So for oily skin, this is your mattifier! You can literally add it to any fluid into your Show more

help
I don't know what exactly happened, whether I mixed it with other products whose ingredients didn't go well with those in this gel, but this thing made my skin purge. I might have overused it as well, since I know nothing about skincare, though nonetheless it made my skin angry after one use. Just not for me.

In the first week after I bought it I used it twice and it had an immediate purgative effect. The only problem is that if you don't use it with a good moisturizing cream it dries out a lot. I recommend that once the pimples have come out, you use salicylic acid patches so that the extraction is faster and they don't leave marks on the skin. They complement each other very well.
