Ingredients Explained
These ingredients are found in both products.
Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.
Carbomer is a polymer of acrylic acid. Its main role is to create a gel consistency.
A high amount of carbomer can cause pilling or balling up of products. Don't worry, most products contain 1% or less of carbomer.
Water. It's the most common cosmetic ingredient of all. You'll usually see it at the top of ingredient lists, meaning that it makes up the largest part of the product.
So why is it so popular? Water most often acts as a solvent - this means that it helps dissolve other ingredients into the formulation.
You'll also recognize water as that liquid we all need to stay alive. If you see this, drink a glass of water. Stay hydrated!

Honestly I was skeptical because it took my skin the FULL 12+ weeks to adjust to this. Don’t give up on this product. After suffering a sudden and severe breakout three months ago, I started on Differin in combination with a few other treatments. The first 8 weeks were hard, but in combination with a few other acne treatments, my skin has improved SO MUCH. I am on week 11 and am so glad I stuck it out with Differin. Looking forward to seeing continued improvement.

I started using this moisturizer while i was on accutane and it worked really well for my dry skin. Initially I thought it only worked well bc my skin was so dry from accutane but even after completing the treatment it still works really well for me (for reference I have combo sensitive skin). Some ppl dont like the reformulation but to me it wasn't a huge deal. Yes the old formulation was better, Show more
I went back and forth on this purchase SO many times, like literally kept cancelling my Amazon order, then reordering lol. I was desperately trying to heal my skin barrier, and kept seeing this recommended, but also complaints about the new formulation. I can’t compare to the old, but I did like this product for what it is. Rich and moisturizing, great for overnight, did feel like it protected my Show more
