Ingredients Explained

These ingredients are found in both products.

Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.

Cetyl Ethylhexanoate is an emollient ester. It comes from cetearyl alcohol and 2-ethylhexanoic acid.

Cetyl Ethylhexanoate is an emollient that adds a velvety feel to skin without being greasy or oily. Emollients help trap moisture into your skin, keeping your skin soft and hydrated.

Skin Conditioning, Solvent

Water. It's the most common cosmetic ingredient of all. You'll usually see it at the top of ingredient lists, meaning that it makes up the largest part of the product.

So why is it so popular? Water most often acts as a solvent - this means that it helps dissolve other ingredients into the formulation.

You'll also recognize water as that liquid we all need to stay alive. If you see this, drink a glass of water. Stay hydrated!

This product really broke me out and clogged my pores badly, even with emulsifiying it with water like you're supposed to. It says its for sensitive skin and is supposed to be a mild version but it has a very strong scent and once burned my skin a bit near my nose area. The one good it did was i saw it actually remove some gunk from my pores while using.

I have fungal acne, dehydrated oily and acne prone skin, and I know it’s not recommended to use a oil cleanser for my skin type, however I find that an oil cleanser is the only thing that helps with my clogged pores especially after I’ve used a exfoliating toner the night before, for me this cleanser did a great job at scooping up my white heads and unclogging my clogged pores. I have rosacea and this works very well with my flare ups and acne. Doesn't dry out my skin but leaves it very clean and fresh.

One of the best cleansing balms out there. I love the buttery texture and it melts my makeup up pretty well. Also, it has no fragrance so this is good for those with sensitive skin! So far, I haven’t experience any negative side effects from this balm and I prefer using it over an oil cleanser for my double cleansing routine as it is more moisturizing!
