Ingredients Explained

These ingredients are found in both products.

Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.

Skin Conditioning, Solvent

Water. It's the most common cosmetic ingredient of all. You'll usually see it at the top of ingredient lists, meaning that it makes up the largest part of the product.

So why is it so popular? Water most often acts as a solvent - this means that it helps dissolve other ingredients into the formulation.

You'll also recognize water as that liquid we all need to stay alive. If you see this, drink a glass of water. Stay hydrated!

Humectant, Skin Conditioning, Skin Protecting

Glycerin is already naturally found in your skin. It helps moisturize and protect your skin.

A study from 2016 found glycerin to be more effective as a humectant than AHAs and hyaluronic acid.

As a humectant, it helps the skin stay hydrated by pulling moisture to your skin. The low molecular weight of glycerin allows it to pull moisture into the deeper layers of your skin.

Hydrated skin improves your skin barrier; Your skin barrier helps protect against irritants and bacteria.

Glycerin has also been found to have antimicrobial and antiviral properties. Due to these properties, glycerin is often used in wound and burn treatments.

In cosmetics, glycerin is usually derived from plants such as soybean or palm. However, it can also be sourced from animals, such as tallow or animal fat.

This ingredient is organic, colorless, odorless, and non-toxic.

Glycerin is the name for this ingredient in American English. British English uses Glycerol/Glycerine.

This is my HG!!!!! Love love love. It’s the single product I can rely on that will consistently give me good results. Rough exfoliant? Cicaplast. Small breakouts? Cicaplast. Redness around nose? Cicaplast. I slug at night with it and then next morning I feel like a new person. My only recommendation is that you should get it from reputable reseller AKA NOT AMAZON!!!! I get mine from CVS but I had Show more

HG for me. When my skin barrier is damaged this fixes the issue in 1-2 uses. It’s a very thick, heavy cream, so it isn’t something I use daily but I keep it on hand for when products irritate me or I accidentally over-exfoliate.

I tried the Dr. Idriss method. I m sure it worked for many people but it didn’t work for me.
Firstly, I put on as much as she said but less than she did in the video. Her layer looked way thinner than mine, maybe that is why her skin absorbed it and mine didn’t. Anyway it was already on my face hence I didn’t want to remove it.
Secondary, I broke out a day later. And mind me, I also made sure Show more

I love this stuff and use it probably three times a week before bed or in the morning. It doesn't take much so a container can last you a long time.
