Ingredients Explained
These ingredients are found in both products.
Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.
This ingredient is the fixed oil extracted from seeds of the desert shrub Jojoba. It is more commonly known as jojoba oil. The seed oil is liquid wax ester from the plant. It is non-comedogenic.
Jojoba oil does not contain fragrance and has many fatty-acids, making it a great soothing ingredient. Jojoba contains Vitamin E, a great moisturizing ingredient. Vitamin E is also an antioxidant. Antioxidants help protect your skin against free-radical damage. This may help in anti-aging.
Jojoba seed oil is a humectant, meaning it helps draw moisture from the air. This helps keep your skin hydrated.
While jojoba has antibacterial properties, it is only able to kill some bacteria. It has also been shown to help in wound healing. Indigenous cultures have used jojoba as a moisturizer and to help treat burns.
It is found to be similar to natural human skin sebum, so it has a great effect on dry skin. Jojoba oil may even help with regulating sebum production.
Although jojoba oil is non-comedogenic, we recommend speaking with a professional about using this ingredient if you have any concerns.
Jojoba oil may not be fungal acne safe. We recommend speaking with a professional if you have any concerns.
Jojoba is native to the southwestern US.

Don’t get this omg. This was the FIRST skincare product i’ve ever used, I used it the night before my first homecoming,😭💔 It broke me out so bad especially on my forehead, which I now know was fungal acne. Since then I have never been able to get rid of my fungal acne (help.) So basically I went to my first hs hoco with a bumpy forehead (still bumpy.) 🥲

Genuinely picked whatever was chapest from CVS. I was considering using cleansing oil but if I remember correctly, this one was cheaper. Also, I felt like I could use this for longer. Another thing is that I saw influencers using cleansing balms and thought that was cool. (I am easily influenced)
Anyways started using this and I didn't really know how to use cleanser balms or oils. I thought you use it like normal soap. Later I learned that you have to apply it on your face and rub it for a while, take a bit of water and rub it for a while so that foam starts appearing, then you wash it off, then you wash again with your cleanser.
I never really trust cerave products because of so many bad reviews on how they make people break out. However, this balm actually worked so well for me. I am not entirely sure about how good it is in removing my makeup, but I didn't break out after this cerave balm.
I don't think its completely mild, because I would feel a tiny bit irritated after washing my face. I do have sensitive skin so thats probably why. My face becomes irritated a little but it would go away within 10 minutes. If you have extremely sensitive skin, then maybe don't use this one.
One thing that was amazing about this product was that **it cleans black heads and sebum plugs** !!! There was this once I would have so much sebum plugs and blackheads on my face. I wore foundation that day and when i was cleansing, I just rubbed this cleanser on my face. But then the more I rub, it was like taking the sebum plugs out of my skin. A very big amount of it disappeared. Ngl it worked better than exfoliating. Blew my mind.
Maybe this works for every cleansing balm or oil and not just cerave??(highly likely)
But I will be using this one, for I have no money.
Anyways liked the product

Too much influence!!! I confess I've been influenced a lot about this product on social networks. It was sold to me as being very good for sensitive skin and skin with acne, that it would make our blackheads go away and deep clean our ports and sebaceous filaments, I tested many cleansing oils and almost all of them gave me breakouts.
It's said that if you cleanse well, emulsify correctly and follow up with a cleansing gel or foam, there's no risk of getting new acne pimples. However, it's much more complicated than that, and our lipid barrier has a more than complicated way of working. Even if a product is advertised as "non-comedogenic", that doesn't mean you're not going to have a reaction, especially with a product like a cleansing oil, which tends to be quite heavy. This one may be light, but it disrupts the lipid barrier like nothing I've ever seen, and I strongly advise against it.
Not to mention the fact that this cleansing oil is very irritating for me, it's certainly easy to emulsify and rinse off, but there's a very strong perfume smell and afterwards I've never seen my skin so irritated with dozens of closed whiteheads in the morning. I then considered micellar waters and my skin has never been as healthy as it is with cleansing oils.
Don't forget that every skin is different and that this product may very well suit you, I always recommend testing it and making up your own mind, this is mine knowing that I have extremely sensitive and very acne-prone skin, don't be influenced and choose the products that suit your skin.

I found that this product broke me out and gave me closed comodones. I used it correctly it just didn't like my oily combination skin :/ . I would def not recmmend to anyone with acne prone skin. I found that using micellar water and a cleanser worked way better for me, i only use the centella oil once a week on my t zone and chin to unclog any pores that the micellar water didn't manage.
