Preservative

Phenoxyethanol is a preservative that has germicide, antimicrobial, and aromatic properties. Studies show that phenoxyethanol can prevent microbial growth. By itself, it has a scent that is similar to that of a rose.

It's often used in formulations along with Caprylyl Glycol to preserve the shelf life of products.

Pros:
* Matt finish (worked well under my makeup)
* Easy to apply (patting/dabbing - not for swiping)
* Good SPF coverage

Cons:
* The scent! Unfortunately the best way I could describe the smell was like a veterinarian clinic...luckily it goes away on the dry down but it certainly has a stranger odour!

I was disappointed in this one.

It's a tinted mineral sunscreen. Imo, the tint is best for light (maybe light to medium) skin with warm undertones. It's a little too deep and warm for me, but it would've been passable if it hadn't also been so streaky. It's very difficult to spread evenly on the skin. I found it pretty much impossible to make the tint not look streaky and patchy all over my Show more
