Unlike AHAs which are water soluble, Salicylic Acid is oil soluble. This means that it's able to exfoliate the inside of pores and reduce blackheads.

Very harsh on acne prone the skin. Best used as spot treatment for stubborn pimples as it helps to dry them out.

Wouldn't really recommend for oily skin and acne prone skin. Its too abrasive.
