Shea butter is rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants help fight free-radicals, or molecules that may harm the body. It is also full of fatty acids including stearic acid and linoleic acid. These acids help replenish the skin and keep skin moisturized.
While Shea Butter has an SPF rating of about 3-4, it is not a sunscreen replacement.

Absolutely fantastic. I needed a lip balm quickly before I went away for the weekend that would calm down the eczema I had all over my lips and around my lip line. I started using it, and the next day the eczema and soreness was gone. I think my skin needed a break from actives. i was pretty pleasantly surprised by this product. there is no flavor or tint, so it’s not going to be comparable to something like the Laneige lip balm in that sense. but when it comes to just creating a sort of protective barrier (? i don’t know how to put it, but it feels like it’s protecting the lips when applied) and softening the lips, this has been great. it’s pretty much the perfect lip Show more
