Ingredients Explained

These ingredients are found in both products.

Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.

Cetyl Ethylhexanoate is an emollient ester. It comes from cetearyl alcohol and 2-ethylhexanoic acid.

Cetyl Ethylhexanoate is an emollient that adds a velvety feel to skin without being greasy or oily. Emollients help trap moisture into your skin, keeping your skin soft and hydrated.

Skin Conditioning, Solvent

1,2-Hexanediol is a synthetic liquid and another multi-functional powerhouse.

It is a:

  • Humectant, drawing moisture into the skin
  • Emollient, helping to soften skin
  • Solvent, dispersing and stabilizing formulas
  • Preservative booster, enhancing the antimicrobial activity of other preservatives
Skin Conditioning

Ethylhexylglycerin (we can't pronounce this either) is commonly used as a preservative and skin softener. It is derived from glyceryl.

You might see Ethylhexylglycerin often paired with other preservatives such as phenoxyethanol. Ethylhexylglycerin has been found to increase the effectiveness of these other preservatives.

Does a great job of removing sunscreen and most of my makeup, emulsifies well, and doesn’t dry out the skin. However, it isn’t the best for removing waterproof makeup.

I have normal and acne borne skin. I used it for a month with almost to problems in may of 2024. After a month i developed SEVERE fungal acne. It is now November of 2024 and im still recovering from it. It took me 5 months to get rid of most of the fungal acne. I personally hate this product. Of course everyone’s skin is different but if you have acne brone skin I advise to keep this away from Show more

It is pricey, no point denying it. But most of my routine is made up of affordable or at least reasonably priced things so that I was willing to try this out as my splurge. And I LOVE it.

I was using just oil before, a blend of argan, jojoba, and rosehip, which is perfectly fine and a lot cheaper for sure, but...

Clears up my skin of tiny bumps and sebum SO fast. It's a little bit pricey so I'm trying to find a dupe but even if I can't find one I'll definitely go back to it.
