Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate comes from licorice root.

Extracts of licorice have demonstrated to have antibacterial, antiโ€inflammatory, antiviral, antioxidant properties.

Licorice Root also contains a flavonoid. Flavonoids are a natural substance from in plants. Flavonoids also have antioxidant properties.

Another component, glycyrrhizin, has been found to have anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial benefits. This may make licorice root extract effective at treating acne. However, more research is needed to support this.

Liquiritin is one of the flavone compounds found in licorice. It has been found to help lighten skin by preventing tyrosinase from reacting with tyrosine. When the two react, protein is converted to melanin. Melanin is the substance in your body that gives your features pigmentation.

Licorice root is native to Southern Europe and Asia. It has been used in traditional Chinese medicine to help with respiratory issues.

This is the best product I've ever used. Pure magic.
I was having the worst breakout mixed with purging, rosacea and herpeszoster when I got this to try to soothe it all, incl. the pain and itching. Just with one single use i could see my skin go back to its normal colour for so many hours; everything got so much better and the stinging and pain were so relieved.
I promise saying it's a game Show more

I wanted to love these pads because the price is great but they are tiny and so thin and flimsy that they're difficult to use. Neither side of the pads are textured so you can really only use the pads to apply product but cannot use them to 'clean' your skin. To their credit, they are extremely soaked in product which I always appreciate.
