Glycerin has also been found to have antimicrobial and antiviral properties. Due to these properties, glycerin is often used in wound and burn treatments.
In cosmetics, glycerin is usually derived from plants such as soybean or palm. However, it can also be sourced from animals, such as tallow or animal fat.
This ingredient is organic, colorless, odorless, and non-toxic.
Glycerin is the name for this ingredient in American English. British English uses Glycerol/Glycerine.

I have mixed feelings about this products. The experience of using it is great: It is super lightweight, perfect for oily skin, has a very pleasant and light herbal scent (although be careful if you are allergic to fragrance), and it does hydrate and preps your skin properly for the rest of your routine. Excellent. Most retinol are super comedogenic or have squalene, which breaks me out. This has none of that and the bottle is huge! You get a lot of product for the price and it doesn't irritate me. I know the retinol works too, as I made the mistake of putting it on my lips, and they peeled so much. Don't do that, that was just me being stupid. works really well for my acne prone skin it did sting a little bit the first few times but now my skin is use to it :)
Stings the skin and eyes like crazy, with an absolutely terrible alcohol smell. This is so bad that it turned me off of BYOMA for ages and almost made me miss out on their excellent milky toner.
