Ingredients Explained

These ingredients are found in both products.

Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.

Skin Conditioning, Solvent

Water. It's the most common cosmetic ingredient of all. You'll usually see it at the top of ingredient lists, meaning that it makes up the largest part of the product.

So why is it so popular? Water most often acts as a solvent - this means that it helps dissolve other ingredients into the formulation.

You'll also recognize water as that liquid we all need to stay alive. If you see this, drink a glass of water. Stay hydrated!

It’s also a fairly simple ingredients list but beware of the disodium cocoamphodiacetate in this! It’s derived from coconut oil and I’m now going down a rabbit hole to see what else I’m using is coconut based as I obviously don’t react well! I’ve switched to Show more

This one made me break out really badly! I used it before I got into skincare, thinking I was cleaning my skin, but all I was really doing was moving dirt around my face. Even if it says it doesn’t need washing off: please, wash it off! I know it’s tempting to leave it on during lazy days, but don’t. It’s not properly cleaning your skin, and it’s definitely not doing your pores any favors when Show more
