Phenoxyethanol is a preservative that has germicide, antimicrobial, and aromatic properties. Studies show that phenoxyethanol can prevent microbial growth. By itself, it has a scent that is similar to that of a rose.
It's often used in formulations along with Caprylyl Glycol to preserve the shelf life of products.

feels pretty good on the skin, softens rough skin. the issue with this product is the smell. it smells disgusting, chemical and rancid. maybe for the feet at night?
I mainly use this on my lips, it does absolute wonders for dry lips. I was able to get through a treatment with Isotretinoin with this. I don't really notice a smell or a taste, or then I've just gotten used to it :D It's quite sticky to be used as a hand cream for example, and too thick for my normal skin type otherwise.
