Ingredients Explained

Humectant, Skin Conditioning, Skin Protecting

Glycerin is already naturally found in your skin. It helps moisturize and protect your skin.

A study from 2016 found glycerin to be more effective as a humectant than AHAs and hyaluronic acid.

As a humectant, it helps the skin stay hydrated by pulling moisture to your skin. The low molecular weight of glycerin allows it to pull moisture into the deeper layers of your skin.

Hydrated skin improves your skin barrier; Your skin barrier helps protect against irritants and bacteria.

Glycerin has also been found to have antimicrobial and antiviral properties. Due to these properties, glycerin is often used in wound and burn treatments.

In cosmetics, glycerin is usually derived from plants such as soybean or palm. However, it can also be sourced from animals, such as tallow or animal fat.

This ingredient is organic, colorless, odorless, and non-toxic.

Glycerin is the name for this ingredient in American English. British English uses Glycerol/Glycerine.

The best ever. Used to use cerave healing ointment or aquaphor but my lips needed something extra. I had been using lip sleeping masks but suspected they were contributing to my chin breakouts. I have very sensitive dry acne prone skin. It seemed everything made for the lips either had a problematic ingredient or wasn’t long lasting enough. I researched and found this product. It’s amazing. I stumbled across this product by accident but it has solidified my belief in lip masks. This is my favorite by far. It has staying power and allows me to go to bed and wake up with soft lips. I literally look forward to using this mask at the end of my night time routine.

I swear by this lip mask. I suffered from extremely dry lips for months including most of the summer. Alongside prescribed cream and aquaphor this has brought my lips back. I use it in the morning and night almost like a moisturizer for my lips. I was looking at Laniege however I feel like it’s mainly just marketed better.
