A study from 2016 found glycerin to be more effective as a humectant than AHAs and hyaluronic acid.

1,2-Hexanediol is a synthetic liquid and another multi-functional powerhouse. 

It is a:

• Humectant, drawing moisture into the skin
• Emollient, helping to soften skin
• Solvent, dispersing and stabilizing formulas
• Preservative booster, enhancing the antimicrobial activity of other preservatives

Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate is a postbiotic with skin soothing properties. Postbiotics are inactive molecules produced by probiotic bacteria that provide skin benefits.

Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate isn't fungal acne safe.

Caprylyl Glycol is a humectant and emollient, meaning it attracts and preserves moisture.

Citrus Junos Peel Oil comes from the Citrus Junos tree, or the Yuzu plant.

A high amount of carbomer can cause pilling or balling up of products. Don't worry, most products contain 1% or less of carbomer.

While caffeine is used to treat cellulite and and dark circles, further studies are needed to prove this. It has been believed to help with these skin conditions due to its ability to dilate blood vessels and increase blood flow.
