It found two compounds in unpure Cocamidopropyl Betaine to be the irritants: aminoamide and 3-dimethylaminopropylamine. High-grade and pure Cocamidopropyl Betaine did not induce allergic reactions during this study.

This was my go-to cleanser for years. I think it’s a good basic cleanser if you’re not too picky, but I personally found it a bit too stripping and I don't like that the 7th ingredient is comedogenic.
