Ingredients Explained

These ingredients are found in both products.

Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.

Skin Conditioning, Solvent

Water. It's the most common cosmetic ingredient of all. You'll usually see it at the top of ingredient lists, meaning that it makes up the largest part of the product.

So why is it so popular? Water most often acts as a solvent - this means that it helps dissolve other ingredients into the formulation.

You'll also recognize water as that liquid we all need to stay alive. If you see this, drink a glass of water. Stay hydrated!

Smells great, can be irritating when my skin is already feeling sensitive, haven’t seen much improvement in skin tone

Smell is overpowering but goes away as it dries. I bought it because of the aloe and cucumber extract. As much as I want to like it I can't justify the price with the lack of results. It can irritate my skin and isn't as soothing as I thought it would be. 🫤

Annoyed at the marketing
This isn’t a bad product, let me first start by saying that. Green tea can be wonderful for oily skin because it can help balance sebum production. But I bought this towards the beginning of my skin care journey when I wasn’t familiar with ingredients so I always had to take the brands word for it and/or just buy what was popular. This is marketed as HYDRATING and suited Show more

Comparing this with B.lab Matcha Hydrating Facial Toner and Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Essence Water:
Hydration: BOJ > B.lab > Isntree
Oil control: Isntree > B.lab > BOJ
