Ingredients Explained

These ingredients are found in both products.

Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.

Preservative

Phenoxyethanol is a preservative that has germicide, antimicrobial, and aromatic properties. Studies show that phenoxyethanol can prevent microbial growth. By itself, it has a scent that is similar to that of a rose.

It's often used in formulations along with Caprylyl Glycol to preserve the shelf life of products.

Skin Conditioning

Ethylhexylglycerin (we can't pronounce this either) is commonly used as a preservative and skin softener. It is derived from glyceryl.

You might see Ethylhexylglycerin often paired with other preservatives such as phenoxyethanol. Ethylhexylglycerin has been found to increase the effectiveness of these other preservatives.

Disodium EDTA plays a role in making products more stable by aiding other preservatives.

It is a chelating agent, meaning it neutralizes metal ions that may be found in a product.

Disodium EDTA is a salt of edetic acid and is found to be safe in cosmetic ingredients.

It's so so
I have oily combination skin, I'm trying to do the minimal 3 step routine; cleanse, moisturized and sunscreen. Being using this for almost 1 month now, it's very drying when use without a toner, just after cleansing. But with a tonner it's quite okay. It doesn't cause me more break outs nor it reduce my acne breakouts. But it give calming and cooling effect. I suggest this product for Show more

I use this only on my arms and legs. Living in a hot and humid country, this gel has been my life saver for rashes. I got a terrible breakout from hives and this gel soothed the rashes and prevented it from growing out. It is also very cooling, refreshing on my skin and helps to combat heat. I highly recommend this to people who live in hot and humid places. I don't think it is suitable for dry Show more

Best simple and cheap aloe Vera gel ever!!
Doesn’t irritate out the skin,
But it’s not something you can use and sleep with.
It’s something I use for 3-4 hours because after that it tends to dry up completely and skin feels every tight.
