Water. It's the most common cosmetic ingredient of all. You'll usually see it at the top of ingredient lists, meaning that it makes up the largest part of the product.

So why is it so popular? Water most often acts as a solvent - this means that it helps dissolve other ingredients into the formulation.

You'll also recognize water as that liquid we all need to stay alive. Talk about multi-purpose! If you see this, drink a glass of water. Stay hydrated!

Methylparaben is a preservative and is a paraben. It is used to prevent the growth of fungus, mold, and other harmful bacteria. Parabens are chemicals used as preservatives in both cosmetics and food.

Eh. Underwhelming for the virality it got. They're safer than a lot of other pore strips, but they don't fully work as advertised. For me, all they did was remove a few blackheads, some dead skin, and a bunch of vellus hairs. They work about as well as dermaplanning does.
I also had a problem getting the paper to lay flat. It's so thin it'll crinkle from the slightest force, which isn't great since that bit of product is no longer compressed against the skin and can't be peeled off.
Interestingly, these strips were previously marketed as removing "blackheads, whiteheads, and sebaceous filaments". That has now changed to "blackheads, whiteheads, impurities, dirt, and excess oil".
I don't think I'd buy them again, but hey, they might work for you.
