Emulsifying, Emulsion Stabilising, Gel Forming

Xanthan gum is used as a stabilizer and thickener within cosmetic products. It helps give products a sticky, thick feeling - preventing them from being too runny.

On the technical side of things, xanthan gum is a polysaccharide - a combination consisting of multiple sugar molecules bonded together.

Xanthan gum is a pretty common and great ingredient. It is a natural, non-toxic, non-irritating ingredient that is also commonly used in food products.

Did a patch test on my arm to see if it works for hyperpigmentation - tried for 3 days (once a day) and my arm had small pimples/ irritation bumps! I never have breakouts on my body.
Don’t know if the concentrations are too potent (even for the body) or the formulation is just bad.

I think this is one of the best serums for hyperpigmentation IF you are a BEGINNER (keep that in mind), I have sensitive skin and I find it very soothing but didn’t see much results.
Also this serum is quite sticky so I recommend you that after you apply it on your face, leave it for 10-15 minutes so your skin can fully absorb the product. Then you can use other products as you wish. Hope it Show more

It might be a bit early to give a good review, but I’ve been using this for a week now and I’m shocked at how well it’s working for me! I have Rosacea (Papulopustular/Acne) and EXTREMELY reactive/sensitive skin. I’m basically semi allergic to every single product on earth and literally CANNOT wear sunscreen or 99.9% of moisturisers.

I tried finacea (prescription azelaic acid) and within 2 days Show more

I’ve been using this product for over a month now. My acne prone skin is noticeably clearer, far less red and the hormonal breakouts that I do have are substantially smaller and less inflamed. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to clear stubborn acne, it’s one of the only products that has made a noticeable difference to my skin.

It can have a drying effect and does tingle the Show more
