Ingredients Explained

These ingredients are found in both products.

Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.

Emollient, Emulsifying, Skin Conditioning

Lanolin is a wax secreted by animals with wool, such as sheep. It is a waterproof emollient.

Emollients help soften and moisturize the skin by creating a film. This film prevents moisture from escaping, helping the skin stay hydrated.

Unlike true fats, lanolin contains sterol esters instead of glycerides. It also contains fatty acids and alcohols.

Because lanolin comes from an animal, it is not considered vegan. Sheep secrete lanolin through sebaceous glands to help protect their skin from the environment.

The answer to this question depends on the brand itself. Being cruelty-free means a brand does not experiment or harm animals. We recommend looking into how brands source their lanolin. Lanolin is cruelty-free if it is gathered without harming the animal.

A classic. The only thing that stays on my lips for more than 20 minutes and leaves them feeling moisturized and hydrated. Has a pleasant cooling effect, and heals dry and cracked lips quickly. I pick my lips a lot and this is the only product that heals them quickly and prevents me from picking them due to the texture. Highly recommend!

This is honestly my HG chapstick (me and 80% of the rest of the world) and I have to have one near me at all times.
...But I have to admit I *do* think it causes acne if it migrates away from my lips, and sometimes I even break out around my lip line.
But I literally don't care, I don't want to give up this chapstick.
I don't love the peppermint as a skincare ingredient, but it gives the Show more
