Reporting Reviews and Diary Entries
Last updated 15 days ago
The SkinSort Community is a place to discover products, learn from real experiences, and share your skincare journey. Most reviews and diary entries provide helpful insights, but occasionally you may come across content that doesn't follow our Community Guidelines.
If you find a review or diary entry that appears inappropriate, misleading, or unrelated to skincare, you can report it for our team to review.
Please note: Reporting content does not automatically remove it. Every report is reviewed by our moderation team before any action is taken.
When should I report a post?
Reporting should only be used when you believe a review or diary entry violates our Community Guidelines. Examples include:
- Spam or promotional content
- Harassment, abusive, or offensive language
- Content unrelated to skincare or the product being discussed
- Duplicate or repetitive posts intended to clutter the feed
- Misleading or otherwise inappropriate content
If you simply disagree with someone's opinion or personal experience, there's no need to report it. Skincare is highly personal, and products can work differently for everyone.
How to report a Review or Diary Entry
These steps apply to both the SkinSort website and the SkinSort app.
- Open the review or diary entry you want to report from the Feed.
- Click or tap the three-dot menu (•••) in the top-right corner of the post.
- Select Report an Issue.
- Choose the reason that best describes the issue.
- (Optional) Add any additional details that may help our team review the report.
- (Optional) Enable the Block User option if you no longer want to see content from that user.
- Click or tap Submit.
What happens after I submit a report?
Once your report is submitted, our team will review the reported content.
If the content is found to violate our Community Guidelines, appropriate action will be taken, which may include hiding the review or diary entry from the Community.
If the content does not violate our guidelines, it will remain visible.
Things to know
- Reports are anonymous. The person who created the review or diary entry will not know who submitted the report.
- Reporting does not immediately remove content. A report simply notifies our team. Content is only removed if it is determined to violate our Community Guidelines after review.
Thank you for helping us keep the SkinSort Community a positive and helpful place for everyone. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].
