Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate (GFF) is a yeast traditionally used to make the Japanese alcoholic beverage, sake.
GFF has moisturizing and antioxidant properties.
Studies show GFF improves our skin's natural moisturizing factors (NMF). Our NMF consists of many components that naturally moisturize our skin. Having healthy NMF keeps our skin plump, protected, and hydrated.
This ingredient tells our skin to create more filaggrin, an important component for NMF.
Filaggrin gathers all the structural proteins in our outer layer of skin and creates a tight barrier, helping to protect our skin against allergens and bacteria. This also helps prevent moisture loss.
Thanks to its antioxidant properties, GFF also protects our skin against oxidative stress and UV induced inflammation.
One study found GFF helped regulate sebum (oil) production and keratin in participants.

My holy grail. This is definitely a good facial essence for oily skin. It contains niacin and centella extract to soothe irritations and brighten up skin with fermented galactomyces.
I finished my first bottle and am also finishing my second one, definitely have to buy a third and a fourth. It helped brighten my complexion, smoothen my tiny bumps and soothe my active acne. Loveeee it!

I was pretty sceptical about this product however from the first use it has hydrated, smoothed and made my complexion gorgeous. I have dry rosacea sensitive prone skin and I use this every morning and night and it just leaves my skin glowing. I purchase this when it’s on sale as it can be pretty costly at full RRP. It's very surprising how well this essence did for me, it helped so much with my post acne marks and never broke me out. As for oil balancing & barrier I'm not too sure about it but my main goal is to clear my marks and it serve thag pretty well. It's very watery and potent.
