Cheap ingredients - Not worth it

I've always wondered why people rant and rave about the ordinary products. Sure they are cheap and affordable skin care.
I've watched videos by '''''skin professionals'''' and they are always recommending the ordinary left and right. Everytime, without a doubt, I'd pick up a new ordinary product in my early skin care years, crossing my fingers that maybe this one would work.
Until I realised how horrible the Ordinary is.

Have you ever used an Ordinary product and ended up with tiny bumps on your forehead or face? Sure, your face may begin to look radiant, scarring may fade, and you might believe you're on your way to clear beautiful skin. Slowly, these bumps (fungal acne) crawl up on you. At first you ignore it because you think your face is dry/sensitive/oily. But that's not so much the case.
Do the tiniest bit of research into 'Isoceteth-20' and you'll soon realise this cheap shitty ingredient, that is in a lot of the ordinary products, causes fungal acne.
I hope this review helps. Please don't let this ingredient ruin niacinamide for you! Spend an extra bit of $$$ on a skin care brand that actually cares for you and your skin.

Used 3 bottles

I used 3 bottles of this product, one bottle of 60 ml and 2 of 30 ml, i did not really see any results, like it felt as if I wasn’t applying a thing. Didn’t work for me

Slow and steady

Absolute holy grail status. Not a particularly sexy and won't work over night but having used it for a couple years now it has helped significantly with making my skin smooth and giving it beautiful texture as well as with lightening hyperpigmentation. This is one I'll never stop using.

10% is way to high

I wanted to try this product because of the hype it have received. It broke me out even more and I still have scars from that. I started doing research and found out that the levels where they tested niacinamide was only up to 5% above that will have reverse effect than what it claims on the skin in the long run. I recommend people watching Shereene Idriss on youtube for more information about this subject. Together we will be more educated.

Skincare Holy Grail!

This serum from The Ordinary is my favorite of all-time! My routine is never complete without it. I have been using this product for 3 months now, and it’s really balanced my uneven complexion, got rid of most of my dark/spots and has lightened my acne scars. I got this as an alternative to my Curology treatment because it was way too expensive. For the first couple of weeks using this, I didn’t see any results. But after about a month or so my skin started to change. Before I bought this serum, I had extremely bad acne and very textured skin. I can definitely say that after buying this product, my skin is so smooth! It also doesn’t leave a greasy-feel after application, it’s like it immediately absorbs into your skin. For those who have a similar skin type, I’d 100% recommend this product (and this brand).

It hydrates my skin and I feel it gives it a glow. Definitely has helped with hyperpigmentation from acne scars for me. Can feel it bit sticky straight after application but it passes.

Really helps my skin!

I've been using this product for nearly two years now, and it has really done wonders for my skin!

I apply it in the evenings, just before moisturizing. I find that it really helps reduce redness and PIH.

The zinc in the product helps reduce acne as well, I've found.
