Water. It's the most common cosmetic ingredient of all. You'll usually see it at the top of ingredient lists, meaning that it makes up the largest part of the product.

So why is it so popular? Water most often acts as a solvent - this means that it helps dissolve other ingredients into the formulation.

You'll also recognize water as that liquid we all need to stay alive. Talk about multi-purpose! If you see this, drink a glass of water. Stay hydrated!

1,2-Hexanediol is a multi-tasker ingredient. It acts as a preservative to increase shelf-life and can aid other preservatives in preventing microbe growth. 1,2-Hexanediol also helps the skin retain moisture as a humectant.

In products that are water-based, this ingredient can help stabilize perfumes and fragrances. It can also help make the texture of products softer and more smooth.

I was very skeptical about this product but once I tried this, all acne gone, eczema gone. Like two days of use I actually saw a difference. Acne-prone and sensitive skin will EAT this up.

My HG since 2019. Light yet moisturising, No fragrance, just an earthy mugwort smell that fades after application. Most importantly, CALMS REDNESS so fast and keeps my skin happy. On hormonal acne days, I soak cotton pads with this and just let it sit on my skin. It instantly makes my skin feel better!
