Ingredients Explained

These ingredients are found in both products.

Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.

This is not an INCI ingredient.

Ketoconazole is a pharmaceutical ingredient used to treat fungal infections. It is best to speak with a medical professional about using this ingredient.

Cleansing, Foaming

This ingredient is a cleansing agent, surfactant, and foam booster. It considered an alternative to traditional sulfates (Sulfosuccinate) and is allowed in "sulfate-free" products.

According to a manufacturer, this ingredient is mild and can be used in baby and bath options.

Emulsifying, Emulsion Stabilising

Cocamide DEA is a coconut-derived cleansing agent that creates rich foam and helps to thicken the consistency of cleansing products.

This ingredient effectively removes dirt and oil while helping to stabilize formulations, making it a common addition to shampoos, body washes, and facial cleansers.

It has become less popular in recent formulations due to potential irritation in sensitive skin types and concerns about trace amounts of diethanolamine (DEA), which can potentially form nitrosamines.

While still considered safe at regulated concentrations, many manufacturers now opt for gentler alternatives like cocamidopropyl betaine or other surfactants that offer similar benefits with fewer potential drawbacks.

Buffering

Hydrochloric Acid can be found in the human body. It used to adjust pH levels of basic solutions.

Actually a very good product against fungal acne…Idk why it’s rated non fungal acne safe here. This product helped me a lot. I just put it on my forehead while I’m showering and then I’ll rinse it off after some time. All in all a good product but you should only use it 2-3 times a week because it will dry up your skin.

Terrible on my scalp. It gets rid of dandruff for a short period but destroys your scalp environment so it will come back.

Firstly, you can easily build tolerance to this and it's annoying. It's hella drying and makes your hair crunchy, especially if you have bleached hair and it's impossible to double cleanse with it. It does actually work for a couple weeks though.

Try using the cream instead if you really have to, so you get to leave it on for longer than the shampoo but that can be greasy - better than matted Show more
