Ingredients Explained

These ingredients are found in both products.

Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.

Hydrocolloid is technically not an INCI ingredient. It is a type of material used to dress uninfected wounds.

Hydrocolloid is coated with a mix of gelatin, pectin, xanthan gum, carrageenan, and other biopolymers.

Hydrocolloid patches made for treating pimples often have other ingredients, such as tea tree oil, salicylic acid, niacinamide, glycolic acid, and more. Unfortunately, unless a company discloses this information, we won't have a way to know what other ingredients are present.

When hydrocolloid is applied to a wound, the polysaccharides and polymers absorb water to form a gel. These moist conditions help promote wound healing without breaking down cell tissue.

A study from 2021 found Hydrocolloid may aid in scar healing.

So far these patches have been quite good, they are really invisible on the skin which is great when I have big break outs and need to cover them so they’re completely invisible.

They’re also very cheap which is good for the amount of patches you’re getting. I do recommend these if you’re looking for a very affordable and good quality pimple patch.

I bought these from Look Fantastic.

So far I like these. They stay on the skin and protect the pimples from outside bacteria. They are also cheap so...

TL;DR: Works well, thin and discreet. Fairly expensive.

I love these patches, moreso than the original. I've found prior patches, while they work well, a bit bulky; and thin ones not doing much at all. This one meets a really nice middle ground with thin edges and a thicker hydrocolloid center.

I've found that these stick on well and really help with actively open and draining pimples, and Show more
