Getting Started with the SkinSort Community

Last updated about 1 month ago

The SkinSort Feed is more than a place to scroll through posts. It’s a space where you can discover routines, learn from real experiences, share your skincare journey, and connect with people who share the same passion about skincare.

Here are some ways to make the most of the SkinSort community:

1. Follow People with Similar Skin Types and Concerns

One of the easiest ways to personalize your Feed is by following users whose skincare experiences match your interests.

If someone shares reviews you enjoy, has similar skin concerns, or posts routines that resonate with you, you can follow them by clicking or tapping their profile photo or username and selecting Follow.

You can also use the Find Friends feature to search for people within the community:

On the SkinSort website:

  1. Click Find Friends on the left side of the Feed page
  2. Enter a username to search and follow users

On the SkinSort app:

  1. Tap the magnifying glass icon at the top right of the Feed page
  2. Search for a username and follow users from their profile

Once you start following people, you can switch to the Following tab to keep up with posts from users you enjoy.

2. Discover Real Experiences Through Reviews and Diary Entries

The SkinSort Feed is not only for social interaction. It can also be a helpful tool for product discovery and learning.

Browse reviews from real users to learn how products performed for different skin types and concerns. You may discover new products, ingredients, or routines you had not considered before.

Diary entries can also provide valuable insight into someone’s skincare journey over time. Progress updates often show how routines evolve, what worked, what did not, and how users adjusted their approach.

Exploring these experiences can help you gather ideas while remembering that skincare results vary from person to person.

3. Join Conversations and Connect with Others

The community grows through conversations.

If you find a post interesting, consider leaving a comment, asking a question, or sharing your own experience. Small interactions can help create meaningful discussions and make the community feel more welcoming.

You might ask questions like:

  • How long did this product take to show results?
  • Did this work well with sensitive skin?
  • What products were used alongside it?

You can also support other users by replying to comments, sharing tips respectfully, or simply leaving encouragement.

Skincare journeys often involve trial and error, and connecting with others can make the process feel less overwhelming and more enjoyable.

4. Share Your Own Skincare Journey

You do not need perfect skin or expert knowledge to contribute to the SkinSort Feed.

Sharing your own experiences can help other users who may be going through similar concerns.

Consider posting:

  • Product reviews after trying new products
  • Routine updates and skincare changes
  • Diary entries to track progress over time
  • Favorite products and skincare discoveries
  • Personal experiences, successes, and lessons learned

Even small updates can become valuable insights for someone else in the community.

5. Build Your Own Skincare Circle

Over time, you may find users whose routines, product choices, or skincare goals align with yours.

Follow creators whose content you enjoy, interact with their posts, and stay connected through ongoing conversations.

The SkinSort Feed becomes more meaningful when users learn from one another, celebrate progress together, and create a supportive space for sharing experiences.

Whether you are here to discover products, track your journey, or meet fellow skincare enthusiasts, every interaction helps build the community.

Tips to Maximize Your Experience

To help keep the SkinSort community welcoming for everyone:
1. Follow the community guidelines when posting or commenting
2. Keep conversations respectful, positive, and supportive
3. Share relevant skincare content and experiences
4. Encourage others and engage thoughtfully
