When you view skincare products on SkinSort, you'll see a score out of 100. We call this your Match Score.
Match scores are a way to get a quick understanding about whether or not a product aligns with your skin type, concerns, and preferences.
Our match score algorithm becomes more accurate the more you use SkinSort. It learns from your likes and dislikes to provide you the best possible recommendations.
Here are some of the things that make up your match score for each product:
- Your skin type
- Your skin concerns
- Your liked and avoided ingredients
- Your liked and disliked products
- Your product preferences (fragrance free, vegan, etc)
With Premium, you get a more detailed breakdown of why a product is scored a certain way for you.
While match scores are science based, there's only so much that we can infer from ingredient lists. It's totally possible that a product with a low score works great for you! If that's the case, add it to your likes to make your match scores more accurate.
Sorting Products by Match Score
With Premium, you can sort products by Best Match, making it easier to discover the ideal products tailored to your skin.
To use it, simply apply your filters, then select Best Match as your sort option. Keep in mind, this feature will only work when results are narrowed to under 2,000 products, since Match Scores are personalized and calculated in real-time.
