Rosa Damascena Flower Water comes from the Damask rose. It is a dilluted version of the Rose Essential oil.
The Damask Roses' petals have antioxidant, antimicrobial, and fragrance compounds. Though antioxidants are great for soothing skin, the fragrance compounds can irritate it.
Lavandula Angustifolia Flower Water is created by distilling parts of the lavender plant.
This lavender is known as the English Lavender and famous for creating purple fields in Provence, France.
Lavandula Angustifolia has anti-inflammatory properties due to its prostanoids and histamine content. Lavender also contains flavonoids and phenolic acids (such as ferulic acid), potent antioxidants.
Lavender flower water may have a scent. It may contain linalool, a known allergen.
