Ingredients Explained

These ingredients are found in both products.

Ingredients higher up in an ingredient list are typically present in a larger amount.

Antiseborrhoeic

Hypochlorous Acid is created from dissolving chlorine in water. It is a weak acid that has antimicrobial properties.

Due to its ability to kill bacteria, it can be used to treat acne. We recommend speaking with a professional if you have any concerns or questions.

Fun fact: Hypochlorous acid naturally exists in our bodies. It is created by white blood cells to protect us from infections and bacteria.

Masking

Chances are, you eat sodium chloride every day. Sodium Chloride is also known as table salt.

This ingredient has many purposes in skincare: thickener, emulsifier, and exfoliator.

You'll most likely find this ingredient in cleansers where it is used to create a gel-like texture. As an emulsifier, it also prevents ingredients from separating.

There is much debate on whether this ingredient is comedogenic. The short answer - comedogenic ratings don't tell the whole story. Learn more about comegodenic ratings here.

The concensus about this ingredient causing acne seems to be divided. Research is needed to understand if this ingredient does cause acne.

Scrubs may use salt as the primary exfoliating ingredient.

This is my favorite thing in the world! It fights acne like no other. I spray after wearing masks at work, skiing with a balaclava. Remember to spray it before your vitamin C otherwise it will eliminate it working. It does not dry out my face like the other HCL spays!! 10/10 I would recommend.

I've had this less than a week and it's almost healed my persistent face and scalp acne.
