SA Smoothing Cleanser CeraVe
Fine. Not gentlest cleanser I've tried, but not atrocious if my skin barrier isn't f*cked up. I've been moving away from CeraVe products, though, as I seem to have better luck with Cetaphil and Vanicream from American drug store brands.
Rosewater Cleanser Heritage Store
Fine, I suppose. Doesn't fit into my routine well. Weird comments on the label about "vortexed and magnetized" water, so I definitely wouldn't repurchase (to avoid supporting unscientific BS). Gifted away.
Kind to Skin Moisturizing Facial Wash Simple Skincare
I'm not sure I ever actually used this. Gifted away.
Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary
I don't think I ever got around to trying this, as it was on my list of things to try before I f*cked up my skin barrier in summer 2023. Doesn't fit with my current routine.
Gentle Skin Cleanser Cetaphil
Sample. I think I tried this once or twice? Didn't make much of an impression. Another generically gentle cleanser.
Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream Kiehl's
Sample. Fine? Hate the tub format and there are plenty of cheaper, better moisturizers.
Salicylic Acid 2% Solution The Ordinary
Part of the routine that f*cked up my skin barrier in summer 2023. Pretty sure I managed to sensitize my skin to SA, sadly.
Lumizela A10 Serum FaceTheory
Part of the routine that f*cked up my skin barrier in summer 2023. Not sure if this specifically contributed, though perhaps the Butyloctyl Salicylate added to the SA overload.
La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Light Face Sunscreen-SPF 60 La Roche-Posay
Nice finish, but very silicone-y feeling.
Centella Unscented Recovery Cream PURITO
Loved the old version of this cream. New version has coconut oil, so I put off trying it for ages (new version currently in occasional use/testing).
Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser La Roche-Posay
Another generically gentle cleanser. Was one of several I tried when skin barrier was severely damaged. Generally fine, but did sting a little when skin was at it's worst.
Azelaic Acid 10% for Redness Relief The INKEY List
Works reasonably well and easy to find. Texture isn't my favorite and it doesn't layer well.
10% Azelaic Acid Booster Paula's Choice
Includes SA and silicones, plus it's very expensive.
Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel Clinique
Sample. SA and denatured alcohol? No thanks.
Moisture Surgeâ„¢ 100-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator Clinique
Sample. Silicone city.
Pure Skin Face Cleanser First Aid Beauty
Fine, I guess? I've kind of given up on FAB as a brand.
Centella Calming Gel Cream iUNIK
Sample. Siliconesssssssss
Madagascar Centella Soothing Cream SKIN1004
Sample. Part of set, unfortunately plenty of silicones.
Centella Calming Daily Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++ iUNIK
The first AB sunscreen I tried. Left me quite oily by the end of the day, but it introduced me to sunscreens that didn't suck.
