Hi there :) I’m Holly, and I’m in my mid-20s working on managing my acne, hyperpigmentation, and congestion issues while living in a dry climate.

TLDR
skin type: acne-prone/dry/reactive
prioritizing: skin barrier care, acne management, reduce PIE/PIH
currently: fade PIE/PIH through in office treatments

Background

I’ve gone through the cycle of clearing my acne through actives + simple routine, then adding too many actives, having a full blown inflammatory acne breakout, and then having to repair and heal my skin and the acne scars that come with it. I’ve had acne since my teens, and unfortunately my age is catching up to me and my PIE/PIH is sticking around for much longer, and textural scars are starting to pop up for serious pimples.

I’m now prioritizing on maintaining my skin barrier health with powerful barrier supporting ingredients, while using my trusted Azelaic Acid for acne management.

Since my inflammatory acne has 80-90% cleared up, I’m now focused on clearing the acne scars and PIE/PIH through in-office treatments (chemical peels, microneedling, lasers). And still maintain a proper home care routine!

I’ve been obsessed with skin care since I was a teen, so I’ve been at this for 10 years. I love discovering new products, and hope to build my “holy grail” list one product at a time. I learn lessons time and time again, and using this to track what works for me and what doesn’t.
