My addiction to skincare started when I was a teenager. I’ve always been consistent with skincare routines because I have always had acne. I used to spend $50 on the ProActiv kit religiously. I remember doing all the steps every night, and waking up to my skin not looking any different or even - getting worse.

Only to grow up to find out that there are ingredients in ProActiv that give me blackheads. My consistency was actually making my skin worse, and I didn’t even know it.

I am addicted to skin care because I can see the changes in my skin. I'm obsessed with learning which ingredients do what, and watching them transform my skin.

I didn't have YouTube or skinsort or Sephora when I was younger. I had to stand in the aisles of the beauty supply store, staring at products, with no direction. I yearn for my lost younger self for so many reasons, reparenting her is what has brought me here.

Purchasing the premium subscription to this website has taught me so much. Now I can shop ingredient first and feel like I am making much better decisions. I’ve configured my ingredients list to align with the products I know and love. The research I've conducted on this website has led me to discover new products and brands that I never would have considered. I can’t wait to see how accurate the skin analysis percentages are!
