Early 30's - Still dealing with acne, now with the added perk of fine lines!
Fitzpatrick I - Very pale. I was born with freckles and I burn very easily. I struggle with PIE not PIH.
Combination skin - Oily nose and U zone.
Sensitive skin - possibly slight rosacea, reddens easily, my barrier is always out of whack.
Acne Prone - hormonal and regular. Cystic acne always on my jawline. Feels like everything breaks me out, and quickly.
There is *something* in western sunscreens that my skin absolutely hates, but I haven't figured it out yet.
Allergic to Benzoyl Peroxide - full body rash.
I'm fairly certain that cetyl alcohol, sulfates, micas, and zinc oxide break me out.
I cant use micellar waters (they break me out too).
My skin can tolerate a LOT of exfoliation, in fact I think it needs it.

I have been a skincare addict since the early 2010s, but have not been following the trends for the last few years. I'm not on any socials. Just doing my own thing.
I am disabled with an autoimmune skin condition, with no income, so I buy new products very rarely, and when I do, I don't want to feel like I've wasted my precious money.

I also like the bare basics, DIYing, and "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

This is my ultimate HG cleanser that doesn't break me out, dry me out, or cause any irritation. It's very gentle, leaves my skin feeling supple and smooth, while also cleansing well enough to help keep my chronic acne at bay.

This cleanser is an oil-to-milk cleanser, and best (or only) used on dry skin. It's like the middle ground between liquid oil cleansers and cleansing balms.
I like to massage a nickle sized dollop around my entire face for a good minute or two before exfoliating with a wet konjac sponge or a "face erase" microfiber cloth to start removing it. Once it's emulsified, it rinses off well and I don't feel like there's any residue left behind.

I use it only in the mornings at the sink - it is not a shower cleanser or a second step cleanser. Any water or dampness on your skin will start emulsifying it right away. I also notice that it thins out and feels "slippier" around your oiliest zones, like it is emulsifying with your own sebum.

I searched forever for "MY holy grail cleanser", and this was it - I haven't ventured out to find any others since.
I first found this cleanser in 2015, and it has been through a few repackages and possible reformulations since. I feel like every time I run out and need to repurchase, its nearly impossible to find! Always under threat of discontinuation.
