Been dealing with painful acne since my teens, and only in the past few years have I gotten it really under control. Not only is my acne mostly gone, but I've also been able to improve my PIH/PIE and my dry rough skin. Now I'm a skincare addict, however I've given myself a $30 limit for each product (there are a few exceptions as occasionally I buy something on sale for $30 or less when it's normally more). So feel free to explore my routine and liked products for affordable recommendations.
AND SUNSCREEN IS A MUST! I'm very fair and experience sun allergies when outside without protection for very long. The bumps are itchy and can be red and painful. They can take up to two weeks to go away completely so I try to be very diligent about sun protection.

Commonly disliked ingredients that DO NOT bother my skin:
โข Fragrance (I don't go overboard and will still avoid it where I can)
โข Astringents such as alcohol, witch hazel, or birch sap (when formulated into products)
โข Citrus extracts (I do try to avoid citrus oils however)
โข Tea tree oil (if formulated into a product I enjoy it, but I still try to avoid other essential oils)

Commonly liked ingredients that DO bother my skin:
โข Vitamin C (especially in higher percentages, it often stings)
โข Glycolic acid (especially in higher percentages, often makes me red. I prefer PHAs or BHAs with less than 0.5% strength)

How I personally rate and review products:
โญ๏ธ Terrible! Who was this product even meant for? I cannot recommend that anybody use it.
โญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Absolutely did not work for me at all, but it might for some people. Still, I canโt say I recommend the product. I believe there's a better alternative out there.
โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Itโs not awful and didn't do anything terrible to my skin, but I personally did not enjoy using the product or see many results. Although, I imagine it could work well for some people.

Sticky and stinky.
I didnโt notice any difference in my skin after trying this mask several times. Well, thatโs not entirely trueโฆ my skin definitely smelled like sulfur after using this, but in regards to improvement of my acneโ NOPE....

I didnโt notice any difference in my skin after trying this mask several times. Well, thatโs not entirely trueโฆ my skin definitely smelled like sulfur after using this, but in regards to improvement of my acneโ NOPE. When I first tried this, I was surprised that it actually doesnโt smell bad upon initial application, however once water is added to the mix when rinsing this product off then that smell just hits you. I even tried washing this off in the shower so as to get a good long rinse but even after that the smell still lingered. I will acknowledge that sulfur does have acne fighting properties, but I just find benzoyl peroxide to be so much more effective. The only people I would recommend this product to are the extremely sensitive; meaning your skin canโt handle benzoyl peroxide in any way, including wash off formulas such as cleansers or doing short contact therapy (leaving BPO on the skin for about 15 minutes, then washing it off). Thatโs the only instance I would recommend this product, otherwise I believe there to be better alternatives available.
Notes
I didn't notice any difference in my skin when using this. Plus, although it does not smell of sulfur when on the skin, there is a bit of a smell left over after you wash it off.
