Retinoids
Prescription medication only at night
Other can go AM and PM but Dr Shereene recommends pm only (for simplified skin care routine)
Consistency is key (and sometimes less is more - retinoids can be irritating)
Retinoids can make you more photo/light sensitive so always use SPF
Start with Retinol Esther’s (1x a week for a couple of weeks, 2x a week for a couple of weeks to at least 5x a week) and go your way up (graduate to the next level)
OR jump in to the stringer stuff and use moisturiser first (blocks it, so you don’t get the full effect)
As a novice do not combine retinoids with acids, alternate nights (1 night acid, 1 night retinoid)
Avoid if pregnant & when breastfeeding
