• About this routine •
This facial care routine is tailored for seb derm skin. Every product used here is strictly Malassezia safe, except for the cleanser. If you have dry skin, you may require extra moisturizing.
When I'm feeling lazy, I opt for applying CeraVe Healing Ointment as a top layer, similar to glazing a donut. However, it's important to note that CeraVe ointment is not Malassezia safe.
Please note that now that my skin barrier is restored and healthier, I'm gradually introducing more products suitable for sensitive, dry skin that are also beneficial for the skin barrier. While these products may not be 100% safe for malassezia, they work great with my face without causing a flare-up of my seb derm. If you're interested, check out my version of a healthier skin routine that doesn't restrict me from using malassezia-prone products (here - Coming soon!).
• About me •
I am a person in my early 30s with pale Asian skin, and I also have seb derm, extremely sensitive, dry, and flaky skin. My dermatologist said that my past behavior has devastated my skin barrier so badly that it will need about 6 months for all new skin cells to generate and replace this weak skin.
Additionally, I undergo monthly mild-level skin rejuvenation Fraxel laser treatments with my dermatologist, which makes my skin drier during that period each month.
Following my dermatologist's advice, I need to use moisturizer frequently - around 8 times a day or even every hour.
Good luck! :)
